2010 Thanksgiving Poem

I pondered my faith
As I shuffled through leaves
Pulling deep within
‘Til my view was Thee

Then I heard Your voice
Whispering joy to me
So I stopped in my tracks
And fell to my knees

My sweet boys came to mind
My health was good
But my heart was full
Because there You stood

You touched my hand
You caressed my cheek
My soul was on fire
You’re all I seek

Having You at the center
I count the rest but loss
My thanksgiving is in You
No matter the cost

Your love is better than life
My reason for living
I want to live a life worthy
And in abundant thanksgiving!
